Families are the foundation of a thriving city. Research from Harvard’s Human Flourishing Program confirms what Scripture has long taught—strong families are essential for personal well-being and societal health. When families flourish, so do communities. Yet in Columbus, many families face crisis situations, from fatherlessness to foster care, instability to financial hardship, and a simple lack of community.
The good news is that God is already at work! Ministries across our city are serving families with compassion and wisdom. But we believe He is calling us to something greater—a unified movement that pushes us upstream to strengthen families through the power of collaboration.
That’s why we are excited to launch the For Columbus Family Network— bringing together congregations, nonprofits, and civic leaders to care for families in a more effective, gospel-centered way. By working together, we can build deeper partnerships, reduce duplicating efforts, share resources, and ensure that every family has the chance to thrive in Columbus.
In January, ministry partners gathered together for the first time to begin building trust, assessing the assets we all bring to the table, and start making small steps to impacting our city. Some of the partners who joined were,
My Village Ministries, helping families in crisis through short-term hosting and mentorship.
Kingdom Dads, equipping fathers to lead with faith and integrity.
Pregnancy Resource Centers, including the Stowe Pregnancy Resource Center, and the Pregnancy Decision Health Center, supporting mothers and protecting unborn life.
Center for Christian Virtue (CCV), advocating for policies that strengthen families.
Young Lives, supporting teen parents through friendship and mentorship.
Franklin County Job & Family Services, connecting families to vital social support.
Local leaders who bring incredible knowledge and experience to facilitate a unified network.
How You Can Help
While this network is just forming, we are asking the body of Christ to pray for this focused movement. Ask God to unite His Church across ministries and our congregations to serve families well. Pray for wisdom as we build strategic partnerships and mobilize leaders. And most importantly, lift up the families in our city who need support, hope, and healing.

Expand My Village Ministries’ hosting model to more congregations.
Equip more men through Kingdom Dads’ discipleship programs.
Increase access to life-saving resources for expectant mothers in partnership with our pregnancy resource centers.
And incubate new and needed initiatives to holistically serve the family.
