Gathering Network Leaders for Encouragement and Equipping

Shane Tucker

On Thursday, February 6th, For Columbus hosted its second annual Network Leaders Retreat at Retreat 21 in Marysville, OH. Two times a year, we gather all leaders of networks that have been established to address a particular cause or serve a specific community around Greater Columbus. Our purpose is to convene leaders to connect relationally and focus on how to collaborate for Kingdom good around our region.

This year we began the day by inviting network leaders to share what the Lord has done in and through their network over the past year and what they’re asking Him to do in the year ahead. It was some of the best time spent at the retreat as everyone in attendance was able to gain a clearer and deeper understanding of how the Lord is at work around Greater Columbus. Everyone was encouraged as we celebrated all the good that’s happening!

We also announced the launch of an incredible, dynamic, and catalytic tool which you’ll be able to hear more about if you attend our upcoming 2025 Leaders Summit! After an incredible lunch by City BBQ, a broader vision of our shared calling and work across the region in 2025 was detailed by our executive director, Nick Nye.

The day continued with a workshop led by Wally Martinson of Mission Increase who facilitated a session on the formulation of a clear vision, mission and objectives for each network represented. Finally, we ended our 2025 retreat by revisiting our Network Playbook which is designed to help create a ‘Kingdom ecosystem’ in which unity flourishes and collaboration deepens across Greater Columbus. All in all, this is one of the most strategic times within the For Columbus calendar each year.

If you lead a network and were unable to attend, please prioritize joining us at next year's Network Leaders Retreat. If you’re sensing a call to participate in a network or launch a new one, please email Shane at shane [at] forcolumbus [dot] org.
